With our File Upload question and this integration, you can get files uploaded straight to the Dropbox folder of your choice.
This Dropbox integration is great if you’re expecting lots of file uploads or if you use Dropbox as part of your team’s workflow. It’s easy to set up, so you can get your respondent’s files exactly where you need them. It’s perfect for order forms, job applications, competition entries, and more.
What you need:
- A Typeform account on the Plus, Business, Growth Flow, Talent, Growth Custom, or Enterprise plan
- The Contacts and automations add-on
- A Dropbox account
- A form with a File Upload question
Connecting to the Dropbox integration in the Connect panel only allows you to send every file uploaded to your form to Dropbox, without any other conditions. By integrating Dropbox in Automations, the integration becomes an action you can place in a workflow, so you can decide when an action is triggered and what else happens around it. For example, you can send an email automation to your recruitment team when a CV uploaded by an applicant lands in your Dropbox folder.
The Dropbox integration is only available for Form submission automations. Since it’s a file-sharing integration that requires a File Upload question in a form, it can’t be triggered by Contact activities or Scheduled automations.
This integration does not currently import existing results. This means that once your form is connected to Dropbox, you’ll see new submissions arrive, but not previously collected responses.
Note that you can't send files to this integration if you have login-only file access enabled in your account.
If you're looking to connect Typeform to Dropbox without automations, take a look at our guide on how to send file uploads to Dropbox from the Connect panel.
The Dropbox integration is not available on Typeform accounts that host their data on the EU Data Center.

Note! The maximum file size for File Upload questions is 10MB, and this limit also applies to the Dropbox integration.
You can connect as many File Upload questions as you like! Click + Add to map more File Upload questions, click the trashcan icon next to a question to delete it, or Clear all to delete all your mappings.
14. Once you’ve connected all the File Upload questions you want, click Finish.
15. When you’re happy with the setup of your automation, click Activate.
You’ll see that sending files to the Dropbox integration is active. You can click Stop automation to turn it off.
We send a test file to your Dropbox folder. Open your Dropbox account, and you should see a recently uploaded file called test.jpg. You can delete it if you want!
