Bring Typeform into Claude so you can manage your account without switching tools. To get started, add the Typeform connector to your Claude account in just a few steps.
Once connected, you can ask Claude to help you create forms, update existing forms, summarize responses, and manage contacts using natural language.

Note! If you previously connected Typeform to Claude using a personal access token, this is no longer supported. To continue using Typeform in Claude, add Typeform from Claude’s Connectors Directory by following the steps in this article.

What is the Typeform connector in Claude?
To use Typeform in Claude, you connect it from Claude’s Connectors Directory.
Behind the scenes, that connector is powered by the Typeform MCP server.
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol.
It lets AI tools like Claude connect to other apps like Typeform so you can ask questions, look up information, and complete actions using natural language instead of doing everything manually in your Typeform account.
Typeform in Claude uses OAuth only. Personal access tokens aren’t supported.
Before you start
You’ll need:
- A Typeform account
- A Claude account with access to connectors
Connect Typeform to Claude
1. Open Claude and go to Customize in the sidebar.
2. Select Connectors.
3. Click the Add button and select Browse connectors.
4. Search for "Typeform" in the Connectors Directory and click on it.
5. Click Connect.
6. Log in to your Typeform account if prompted, then review the permissions Claude is requesting to access your Typeform account and click Authorize.
If Claude shows that the Typeform connector has no tools available after you connect, this is a temporary issue we’re working to fix. In the meantime, go to the Connectors page, open the Typeform connector, click the three-dot menu, and select Refresh tools list.
7. Review the tool permissions. These settings control which Typeform actions Claude can use on your behalf (such as creating a new form or listing contacts). Permissions are grouped by type, such as read-only tools and write/delete tools. For each permission category or individual permission, choose one of these access levels:
- Always allow: the tool can run without asking for approval each time.
- Needs approval: you’ll be asked to approve the tool before it runs.
- Blocked: the tool can’t be used.
What you can do once connected
Once Claude is connected, you can ask it to work with your Typeform account—for example, to create a new form, update an existing form, create a form from a PDF you upload in Claude, summarize responses, list your forms, or create contacts.
If Typeform isn’t active in a conversation, you may need to turn it on for that chat. Click the + button in the lower-left corner of the chat, hover over Connectors, and turn on Typeform. Once it’s enabled, Claude can use Typeform in that conversation when it’s relevant to your request.
A simple way to get started is to ask Claude what Typeform tools are available, then ask it to perform a specific task.
When we say tools here, we mean actions Claude can take for you, like creating a contact or listing your forms.
Here are some prompts to get you started:
- “Show me all the Typeform tools you can use for my account.”
- “Create a customer feedback form with Name, Email, NPS, and Text questions in Typeform.”
- “Update my onboarding form in Typeform so the Email question is required and move it before Company size.”
- "Use the information in this PDF I'm uploading to create a form in my Typeform account."
- “Summarize recent responses for my form in Typeform.”
- “Create a new contact in Typeform for Alex Rivera with the email alex@example.com.”
Before publishing any changes to your forms, review them carefully to confirm everything looks and works as expected. If a form is already live and collecting responses, some edits can affect existing results. For more guidance, see Editing a form that’s already live and collecting responses.
If Claude doesn’t use Typeform for your request straight away, try mentioning Typeform explicitly in your prompt. For example, instead of saying "Make a customer feedback form", try "Use Typeform to create a customer feedback form."
You may also need to make sure Typeform is turned on for that conversation in Claude.
If your Enterprise account uses EU data center hosting, use a custom connector
If your Typeform account uses EU data center hosting, add Typeform as a custom connector in Claude instead of installing it from Claude’s Connectors Directory. This only applies to Enterprise accounts that host their data in EU data centers.
If you’re not sure whether this applies to your account, contact your Customer Success Manager.
When you add the Typeform connector in Claude, you’ll be asked for a server URL. Use one of these URLs:
| Region / data center | MCP server URL |
| EU (option 1) | https://api.eu.typeform.com/mcp |
| EU (option 2) | https://api.typeform.eu/mcp |
1. Open Claude and go to Customize in the sidebar.
2. Select Connectors.
3. Click the + button and select Add custom connector.
4. Give your connector a name, like "Typeform".
5. In the MCP server URL field, enter: https://api.typeform.com/mcp or https://api.typeform.eu/mcp
6. Click Add.
7. Click Connect and log in to your Typeform account if prompted.
8. Review the permissions Claude is requesting to access your Typeform account and click Accept.
9. Review the Typeform tools you want Claude to be able to use.
Troubleshooting
I connected Typeform before, but it’s no longer working
If you set up Typeform using a previous implementation, reconnect using the steps detailed in this article.
I connected Typeform, but I don’t see any tools
If the Typeform connector appears connected but the tools don’t show up, open the Typeform connector page in Claude, click the three-dot menu, and select Refresh tools.
If the tools still don’t appear, disconnect the Typeform connector and connect it again.
I don’t see the latest Typeform tools in Claude
If you already connected Typeform before, refresh your tool list or reconnect the Typeform connector to load the latest available tools.
Claude asks for a server URL
If you’re installing Typeform from Claude’s Connectors Directory, you won’t need to enter a server URL.
If you’re adding Typeform as a custom connector, use the server URL for your data center:
- US: https://api.typeform.com/mcp
- EU (option 1): https://api.eu.typeform.com/mcp
- EU (option 2): https://api.typeform.eu/mcp
