Automations can help you engage with your audience with personalized email journeys that are triggered by Contact updates or when someone submits your form. You can automatically send targeted emails to Contacts, internal team members, or others. Build dynamic workflows that respond in real time, like sending a welcome email immediately after a sign-up, then follow up a day later with a special offer. Run drip campaigns by adding time delays between messages to guide your leads through the funnel and keep your brand top of mind.
Automations are available as an add-on feature on the Plus, Business, Growth Essentials, Growth Pro, Talent, Growth Custom, and Enterprise plans.
Access Automations
To access your Automations manager, click Automations from your Workspace.
Here, you’ll see your Automations manager. This will give you a quick glance at all the Automations created. Automations are broken down into 2 categories:
- Always on - Automations created from Contact updates and Form submissions.
- Scheduled (coming soon) - Automations created for a Specific date/time and Recurring events.
Click on the Date created dropdown to sort your Automations by Date created, Last updated, or Alphabetical.
Automations from Contact updates
To create an Automation from Contact updates, click on the Contact updates section then click + Create automation.
Automations are created through Triggers and Actions.
- Trigger - An event that triggers an Automation to start. For example, when a Contact is created.
- Action - What happens after the trigger event occurs. For example, send an email.
Check out this article for more information on how to create Automations from Contact updates.
Automations from Form submissions
Under Form submissions, you’ll find forms that have configured Messages. With Messages, you’re able to send follow-up emails to respondents that have completed or partially completed a form. Messages are configured in the Workflow tab of each individual form.
Click the Workspace dropdown to view forms from a specific Workspace. You’ll then see forms in that Workspace that have set up Messages.
Forms will have a status of either of the following:
- Active - Messages are configured and will send follow-up messages.
- Blocked - Messages that are blocked.
- Missing configuration - Configuration of Messages is missing a trigger or action.
Click the Status dropdown to filter your forms by the Active, Blocked, or Missing configuration status.
Click the Date created dropdown to filter your forms by Date created, Last updated, or Alphabetical.
When you click on a form, you’ll be taken to the Messages builder…
…where you can edit your Messages. Learn more about how to set up Messages here.
