From “Which movie drama is your life right now?” to “If you were a dog, what breed would you be?”, personality quizzes have become a staple of online engagement. They’re fun, quick, and surprisingly effective for marketers. By inviting respondents to answer a few quick questions, brands can drive traffic, gather leads, and connect with the people who fit their ideal audience.

How to use AI to create a personality quiz
1. Log into your Typeform account and click + Create a new form.
2. Select the Start from scratch option.
3. In the Create with AI tab, click Personality quiz.
4. Define the personality types (or outcomes) your quiz will show at the end. For best results, include at least two endings and write a clear, detailed description for each.
Based on how respondents answer, they’ll see one of these personality types at the end of the quiz.
Click Continue when you’re finished.
5. Review the suggested endings for your quiz and make any edits, then click Continue.
6. Review the AI-generated questions for your quiz. You can edit, remove, or add Multiple Choice questions as needed. When you’re happy, click Continue.
Note! Only Multiple Choice questions can be added in this step. You can add other question types later when editing your form in the Content panel.
7. Enter any specific matching rules you want to include. You can always come back to this later once you’ve checked the matching rules. Then click Generate quiz.
8. Your personality quiz will now be created. Click Edit matching rules to review or adjust how answers are connected to each ending.
9. You’ll see a list of endings, each with the answers that lead to that result.
To review or edit them, open the dropdown under an ending. You can adjust which answers are connected or change the matching rules. Click Save when finished.
10. Your quiz questions and endings are now ready, based on the personality types you defined earlier. The form is created in Match quiz mode.
11. If needed, add any additional questions to your quiz by clicking + Add content.
Note! Matching rules can only be applied to the following question types: Multiple choice, Dropdown, Picture Choice, Yes/No, Legal, Opinion Scale, and Rating.
12. If you need to edit matching rules after adding additional questions, click on a quiz ending then click Edit next to Matching rules.
13. Use the side panel to adjust settings for your quiz endings. You can turn social share icons on or off, update button text, and add a link that directs respondents to your website.
14. Click Design to customize your quiz. You can add a theme, adjust the color and font, and add images to your questions or endings.
15. Head over to the Workflow tab to set up any URL parameters, messages, variables, or connect to an integration.
16. You can also set up automations from your workspace to create personalized post-quiz emails and dynamic drip campaigns that match each quiz result.
17. When you’re happy with your quiz, click the Share/Publish edits button to make it live and share your form.
