Is there a guide to setting up the Create with Salesforce integration?
Yes, check out our step-by-step guide to setting up the integration in Salesforce here, and our guide on mapping forms to Salesforce objects here.
Does this integration work with all Salesforce Clouds?
Yes, our Create with Salesforce integration is compatible with all Salesforce Clouds, including but not limited to Salesforce Essentials, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
What is the sync time of pushing data from Typeform to Salesforce?
Typeform submissions are instantly synced to Salesforce with the Create with Salesforce integration.
Can I map a form to multiple Salesforce objects?
No, you can only map a form to one Salesforce object with the Create with Salesforce integration.
What objects can I map to in Salesforce?
You can map your forms to standard and custom objects you’ve created in Salesforce with this integration. However, hybrid objects including but not limited to task and person objects are not supported.
What organization and workspace permissions do I need to have in Typeform to use the integration?
- Organization members with Owner, Admin and Editor permissions, and Workspace members with Owner and Can edit permissions can use and edit the integration.
- Organization viewers with Can view Workspace permissions cannot use or edit the integration.
Is the integration set up on the form level or on the organization/account level?
Form mappings are created on the form level. However, you only need to connect your Typeform account to your Salesforce account once. After authenticating your account for the first time, your organization members with the required permissions can create mappings to that account across different forms and Workspaces in your organization.
Can multiple Salesforce accounts be connected to the same Typeform account?
No, currently only one Salesforce client ID and secret can be connected to your Typeform account.
Can I map variables and URL parameters to Salesforce fields?
Yes, if your form includes variables or URL parameters, you can map them to Salesforce fields in the Map form elements section of your Salesforce configuration.
Can I map a File Upload question in Typeform to a Salesforce field?
No, the File Upload question in Typeform is currently not compatible with any Salesforce fields.
Are Lookup fields in Salesforce supported by this integration?
No, our Create with Salesforce integration doesn’t currently support Lookup fields in Salesforce.
Can you map multiple questions in Typeform to the same field in Salesforce?
Yes, you can map multiple Typeform questions to the same Salesforce field with this integration.
Can I create a new record only when certain answer choices or conditions are met?
The Create with Salesforce integration will always create a new record for every typeform response.
If you want to create a more advanced workflow — for example, only creating a record when certain answer choices are selected or other conditions are met — consider using Workflow rules in Salesforce.
I’ve mapped my form, but not all form data is showing up in Salesforce. What could be wrong?
Salesforce objects and fields must have the required permissions configured in Salesforce to receive data from the integration, so make sure to include all target objects and fields when defining your Permission Sets in Salesforce.
Any objects or fields added to Salesforce after configuring the integration will also need to be updated by a Salesforce admin to be included in the data received from the integration.
You can find out what the required Permission Sets are and how to add them in our Salesforce installation guide.
