FAQ
What happens if I exceed my response limit?
We will notify you by email, and inside your Typeform account, when you’ve reached 90% and 100% of your response limit. When you reach 100% of your response limit, your forms will go into private mode, and respondents won’t be able to access your form. Private mode forms will automatically become public again when the next billing month begins or when you update your account.
Deleting responses won’t add more responses to your response limit. If you delete a response, you’ll no longer be able to access the content of that response, and the response will still count toward your response limit.
How does auto-upgrade your response limits work?
If you’re on a paid plan, you can stay on your current plan and increase your response limit. You can activate auto-upgrade to automatically upgrade your response limit.
When you activate auto-upgrade, your forms won’t close after you’ve hit your response limit. You’ll be automatically upgraded to the next available response tier, and you’ll be able to keep collecting responses. You’ll be billed an additional amount according to the new response tier and the amount of time left in your billing period.
More information can be found in our auto-upgrade your response limits article.
Can I temporarily upgrade my plan?
You can upgrade your plan at any time, and if you have any time remaining on your current plan, you’ll be charged a prorated amount for the difference.
Keep in mind that plans renew automatically, and you’ll need to manually cancel or downgrade your subscription before your plan renews if you want to upgrade temporarily.
Can I upgrade, downgrade, or switch between plans?
You can upgrade your plan at any time. When you downgrade your plan, it won’t take effect until the end of your billing period. For example, if on August 8th you downgrade a monthly subscription that was meant to renew on August 27th, you’ll still have access to your current plan until August 27th.
Should I choose a monthly or yearly plan?
This depends on how long you’ll be using Typeform. Monthly plans give you more flexibility, and yearly plans are a smart choice if you’re planning on being a long-term Typeform user, as yearly plans are discounted compared to paying for a monthly plan over the course of 12 months.
