Connectors let Typeform AI use information from apps like Notion, Slack, and Shopify Storefront as context for creating or updating forms and workflows.
Instead of copying information from another tool into Typeform AI, you can connect the app and ask Typeform AI to use that content as context. For example, you can turn a Notion campaign brief into a lead generation form, use a Slack thread to create a feedback form, or use your Shopify catalog to build a product recommendation quiz.
Some connectors can also take actions in the connected app, such as updating a Notion page or sending a Slack message.
They’re different from classic Typeform integrations which send data from Typeform to another tool after a form is submitted. Connectors help Typeform AI use information from another app while you build in Typeform.
Note: When using connectors, Typeform AI may take a little longer to respond while it retrieves context from another app.
Availability
Connectors are available on the Business plan and above.
You can currently use these connectors:
Common use cases
You can use connectors to help Typeform AI create or update forms and workflows using content from the tools where your work already happens.
For example, you can use them to:
- turn a campaign brief into a lead generation form
- create an event registration form from a planning doc
- build a product recommendation quiz from your Shopify catalog
- turn a Slack thread into a feedback or intake form
- use brand voice guidance to rewrite form copy
- create a follow-up workflow from a brief or team discussion
How to connect an app
To add a connector in Typeform AI:
- From Typeform AI, click the three dots and select Connectors.
- Select the app you want to connect.
- Follow the instructions to give Typeform access to the app, then click Continue/Allow.
- When the connection is complete, you’ll see a success message confirming that it worked.
You can also see which apps are connected in the Connectors area of Typeform AI and disable them by turning off the toggle.
Once connected, you can reference information from the connected app and describe what you want Typeform AI to create or update. The examples below show common ways to use each connector.
Use Notion with Typeform AI
Notion can be used as context for Typeform AI, so you can work from a page or brief that already exists instead of rewriting it in your prompt.
Create from a Notion page
You can use a Notion page to give Typeform AI the information it needs to create something in Typeform.
For example, you might use a Notion page to:
- create a lead generation form from a campaign brief
- create an event registration form from a planning doc
- create a form structure from a brief and recommend a follow-up automation flow.
- rewrite form copy using brand voice or messaging guidance stored in Notion
Example prompts
- “Look at this Notion page and create a lead generation form based on it.”
- “Use this Notion brief to create a form and suggested follow-up flow.”
- “Turn this Notion page into a short event registration form.”
- “Use all the information I have about my brand, Glossy Locks, in Notion to create a lead generation quiz”
Note! If you want Typeform AI to use a specific Notion page, include the page link or page name in your prompt. If you want it to use broader context from Notion, you can also describe that without linking to one specific page.
Send information back to Notion
Typeform AI can also update a connected Notion page.
For example, you can ask it to add the form link back to the Notion page or update the page with the information it generated.
Use Slack with Typeform AI
Slack can be used as context for Typeform AI, so you can work from an existing thread or conversation instead of pasting everything into the chat.
Create from a Slack conversation
You can use a Slack thread or conversation to give Typeform AI the context it needs to create something in Typeform.
For example, you might use Slack to:
- create a form that’s described in a thread
- turn a customer discussion into a feedback form
- turn a team conversation into an intake form
- draft a workflow based on a conversation
- summarize a thread and turn it into a first email draft
Example prompts
- “Read this Slack thread and create the form described there.”
- “Use this Slack conversation as context and draft the workflow we should build.”
- “Look at my latest messages with [teammate name] and create a form based on what we discussed.”
- “Summarize this Slack thread and draft a follow-up email.”
Note! If you want Typeform AI to use a specific Slack thread, include the thread link in your prompt. If you want it to use broader Slack context, you can also refer to a conversation or recent messages without linking to a specific thread.
Send information back to Slack
Typeform AI can also update Slack.
For example, if you use a Slack conversation to create a form, you can also ask Typeform AI to draft or send a Slack message confirming you've created the form and send the form link.
Use Shopify Storefront with Typeform AI
Shopify Storefront can be used as context for Typeform AI, so you can work from your product catalog when creating something in Typeform.
Create from your product catalog
This is especially useful for product recommendation quizzes that help match people with the right product.
For example, you might use Shopify Storefront to:
- create a product recommendation quiz from your catalog
- create a gift finder or product-match quiz
- create a lead capture form based on product interest
- recommend products based on needs, preferences, or budget
Shopify setup note! Shopify Storefront does not require authorization. Instead, enter your store domain, for example my-store.myshopify.com, and Typeform AI can use your product catalog as context.
Example prompts
- “Use my Shopify Storefront catalog to create a product recommendation quiz.”
- “Look through my Shopify products and create a lead capture form that helps match people with the right product.”
- “Create a quiz that recommends products from my Shopify Storefront based on customer needs.”
