How to collaborate on forms with comments

Form comments are discussion threads attached to individual form questions. They let you collaborate with teammates directly from your form. Use comments to review copy, structure, and logic by leaving feedback on specific questions, mentioning teammates, and resolving conversations once changes are complete.

This feature is available on Enterprise and Growth Custom plans. Check out our pricing plans here.

With comments, you can:

  • Add comments to specific questions in your form
  • Reply to existing comment threads
  • Mention teammates in your workspace
  • Get notified by email when someone mentions you or replies
  • Resolve comment threads when feedback is complete

Note! Comment access is based on workspace permissions. Workspace members with view access can view comments only. Workspace members with edit access can view and add comments. Find out more about workspace roles here.

Add a comment to a form question

1. Open the form you want to add a comment to.

2. Click the question you want to comment on.

3. Click Comments on the right sidebar.

4. Type your comment.

To add your comment press Enter on your keyboard or click the Add comment arrow.

You can mention teammates who are members of your workspace to bring them into the conversation. Type @ and start typing you teammate's name, then select the person from the list.

When you add the comment, the mentioned workspace member will receive an email notification with a link to View comment. They can view the comment and, if they have edit permissions, reply to it.

Resolve a comment thread

Once feedback has been addressed, you can resolve the thread.

1. Click Comments to open the comment thread.

2. Click the tick icon (✓) to Resolve all comments.

Things to keep in mind

  • Comments are attached to specific questions in your form.
  • Comments are not duplicated when a form is duplicated.
  • Resolving comments applies to the entire thread. Individual comments can’t currently be resolved on their own.
