The Asana integration is available on all current Typeform plans.
Here’s how to get started:
- Create a new form, or open up an existing one.
- Add some questions that you can map to a task in Asana. For example, you can add an Email question to make the email address of your respondent a task in Asana.
- Add a question that can be mapped to a task description in Asana. When you’re happy with your form, click Share or Publish edits in the top right corner.
- Go to the Connect panel and scroll down to or search for the Asana integration. Click Connect next to Asana.
- Click Add account to connect your Asana account. By authorizing your account, you’re giving everyone in your Typeform workspace access to the Asana account you’ve connected.
- If you’re logged into your Asana account already, you’ll see that it’s connected. If you’re not logged into your Asana account yet, follow the authentication steps to log in. You can also click Disconnect and connect to a different Asana account. Click Continue.
- Select an Asana project from the dropdown list. Your form responses will be sent to this project.
- Click Continue.
- Now you can start mapping your form questions to Asana fields.
- Select a Typeform question and an Asana field from the dropdown list to get started.
- Click + Map to Field to add a new field mapping.
Note: Currently, you can only map to the Task name and Task descriptions fields in Asana.
- Click Finish when you’re done with your selection.
You can also click the trashcan icon next to a field to delete it, or Clear all to delete all mappings.
Now you’ll see that your form has been connected to Asana. You can click the three dots to edit or delete it.
You’ll also see the Asana icon next to forms connected to Asana in your workspace.
Now you can share your form and wait for the responses to roll in.
Once a respondent submits your form, a task will be created with the information you’ve captured through the form in the Asana project you’ve selected.
You can then customize this task in Asana however you please.
