How to create a Match quiz

1. Log into your Typeform account and open an existing form or create a new one by clicking + Create a new form.

In the Content panel, we’ll change our form mode by clicking the dropdown on the top left corner.

Then we’ll select Match quiz mode.

3. Next, we’ll create 3 Quiz endings, one for each product we’ll recommend.

Click the + button next to Quiz endings to create a new End Screen or Redirect to URL.

5. A new menu will open and you’ll see the different Quiz endings.

Under each Quiz ending, click the dropdown and select the answers that correlate with the Quiz ending. Respondents will see the quiz ending that best matches their answers.

Each time a respondent selects an answer, one point is added to the related ending. The highest-scoring ending will be displayed once they finish the quiz.

If there is a tie between the Quiz endings, the Ending that comes first will be shown by default. For example, if there is a tie between Ending A and Ending B, respondents will be shown Ending A. If you have an Ending preference, you can order your End Screens accordingly in the Content panel.

If you have specific rules to show a certain ending, you can combine Branching rules with the matching rules you’ve set up here. You can create an IF rule for a certain combination of answers to THEN go to a specific Ending. If there are conflicting rules between Branching and Match quiz, the Branching rules will override the Match quiz rules.

6. Click Save when you’re done assigning answers to Quiz endings.

Once you’ve received responses to your quiz, you can view them in the Results tab. Under the Responses tab, you can see which Ending the respondent matched with.

If there was a tie with the Endings, the one shown to the respondent when they completed the quiz will appear in the Ending column.
