We are currently rolling out a new, improved version of our builder, where you create and edit your typeforms, with better Logic and other features. If you're confused about which version you are using, this article will help!
Before we get started...
The new typeform is evolving all the time, and while we intend for this guide to be up to date, if you see something that looks a bit different, don't worry!
What does the New builder look like?
Here's a typeform being created in the New builder:
What does the Classic builder look like?
Here's a typeform built in the Classic builder:
I don't have the New builder yet, can I get access?
We are gradually rolling it out to users now. If you don't see it already, you will get an email soon informing you about it. Check for an email from Typeform, in case you missed it!
Can I go back to the Classic builder?
Once you've joined the new builder, you can still edit your existing typeforms in the Classic builder, while any new typeforms you create will use the new builder. When you create a typeform in the New builder, you can't then choose to edit it in the Classic builder.
Are my old typeforms now in the new builder?
Currently all of your typeforms created in the Classic builder can still be edited in it. So you won't see any change, but those typeforms will have a Classic label on them, which you can see from your Workspace:
Can I edit an old typeform in the New builder? How?
Click on the three dots menu on the typeform you want to edit in your workspace, and choose bring to the new builder:
Warning! This cannot be undone. If you want to be safe, you can duplicate your typeform first, then click the three dots menu on the duplicated typeform, and bring that one to the new builder. This way you will still have your original in the Classic builder, just in case.
What happens when I duplicate a typeform I made in the Classic builder?
When you duplicate a typeform, it will stay in the builder in which it was created. If you want to edit a duplicated Classic typeform in the New builder, click on the three dots menu on the typeform in your workspace, and choose bring to the new builder (as shown above).
Where is the Logic Map?
The Logic map is not available yet for the new builder. As you cannot take a new builder typeform back to the Classic builder, be careful not to use the new builder if you rely on this feature.
However, we recommend trying to build new typeforms in the New builder, as we think our revamped Logic makes creating smart typeforms much easier, so give it a go!
Can I make typeforms on my mobile device with the New builder?
We are currently working on this. Watch this space!
