Have you ever wondered how you can find a typeform in a Workspace just based on its share link? Read on for some tips and tricks on how to locate your typeform in the wild.
Have you or a teammate created a form that you’ve shared using its URL, but now you’re not sure what the form is called? Maybe a colleague asked you to tweak a form, but you don’t know which Workspace it’s in? You must first know the title of a form to search for it in your Workspaces, and you’ll find some useful tips on getting that information out of your typeform URL below.
Team collaboration is available on a Business or above plan. You need to be part of the Workspace the typeform is located in for any of the following to work.
Where can I see the title of a form?
You can use a form link, like the one below, to share your form, but the URL itself does not contain the form title. Worry not, you can easily find out what it is just based on the form URL.
When you click the link to open the form in your web browser, you’ll see the form title next to the favicon of the website tab.
If the form title is a bit longer, or if you have way too many tabs open (like I do), you can also just hover over the tab header to view the tooltip that’ll show you the title of the form.
Additionally, the title of the form will also be displayed if you share the link URL in an app like Slack.
How can I find a form in my Workspaces?
Now that you’ve found the form title, you can search for the form across the Workspaces you belong to, and locate where it is.
1. Click the search bar in your Workspaces.
2. Start typing the name of the form you’re looking for in the search field.
3. If the form is in one of your Workspaces, you’ll see it in the search results. Click the name of the form to open it up.
4. Now you can see the name of the Workspace the form is located in, and click the name of the Workspace to navigate there.
Download the Org activity log
If you’re the admin or owner of an account, you can also gain better insight into the actions performed by the members of your Workspaces by downloading the Org activity log. The Org activity log is only available on Enterprise and Growth Custom plans and can only be accessed by the owner or admin of an organization.
